Chief Executive Officer

Giorgi Guliashvili

is acting as an E&S Team Leader of an Environmental and Social team at the Western Route Export Pipeline Sectional Replacement Project (WREP SRP) construction activities in Georgia, run by BP Global Projects Organisation (GPO). He is also the founder of Waste Management Association (WMA) of Georgia and has been elected as a president of the WMA since 2015. On his previous assignment, Giorgi worked as a CEO of the waste management company ‘’Sanitary’’ LLC. During this time Company has been twice nominated as a leader of the industry and received gold medals by Georgian Business Association. Environmental expert with 15 years’ experience, held different managerial positions and provided consulting in this field. Giorgi supported the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs in the successful establishment of Level 5 Vocation Educational Study Program in Health Safety and Environmental Management. He led the E&S standard and educational program development team. He has experience working as a national expert in OSCE and European Union Representations in Georgia for 2007-2010 years. Giorgi holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Master’s in Environmental Management and Policy from Georgian Institute of Public Affairs.

Regulatory Compliance and Environmental Lead

Marina Arabidze

an environmental professional with over 10 years’ experience. Marina has worked for international and national oil and gas companies as an environmental manager and adviser and managed the full lifecycle of environmental and social impact assessments for major development projects. She is experienced in working with development banks both as a client and a consultant in accordance with their policies and guidelines. She has been involved in Clean Development Mechanism projects, assessing climate change impacts of different industries, quantifying emissions and developing emission reductions strategies for emission trading. She is experienced in environmental monitoring and sampling, collection of baseline data and development and implementation of mitigation measures, environmental oversight of construction and operation of large facilities, environmental inspections and audits. She holds Master of Science Degrees in Environment and Resources from University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA and Environmental Sciences and Policy, Central European University, Hungary. She has a certificate in Energy Analysis and Policy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, focusing on the impact of the energy sector on environment and climate change. She’s an associate member of Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA), UK.

Sustainability and Study Programs Lead

Lasha Iakobidze

has over 16 years’ experience in Sustainability, Regulatory Compliance, Environmental, Social and Project Management; specialized in environmental and social sciences and impact assessment, ESIA/EMS development and implementation. He has been involved across the various phases of the project life cycle, regulatory approvals/permitting; with agile project management (APM) and excellent leadership skills; experienced in coaching and coordinating education/training programs. He has wide experience and knowledge on EU Directives, Lender (IFC/EBRD/ADB) requirements and performance standards. Lasha is ISO-14001/ISO-19011(EMS) Lead Auditor and OHSAS-18001 Auditor. Lasha has been with BP since March 2007 and in the Oil and Gas industry since 2003; he has held various environmental and social roles from Field Officer, Coordinator, Supervisor and Adviser to Team Leader. A geologist by profession, he graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in 2001. A teacher and translator of the English language, he has also graduated from Master’s Program in Project Management from the George Washington University (School of Business) in 2012 and most recently in January 2018, Lasha achieved his IEMA International Diploma in Sustainable Business Practice (DipSBP) with Distinction grade from EEF/Make UK (Birmingham, UK). He’s a full member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA), UK.

Health and Safety Expert

Khatia Ramishvili

a well-organized, enthusiastic, senior-level professional involved in Health and Safety more than 10 years, having completed NEBOSH International General Certificate before progressing to NEBOSH International Diploma (IA, IB, IC). She is experienced in working for many international organizations with high performance (Baker Hughes a GE Company, BP, RRC Georgia, NRC) in health and safety duties, Industrial hygiene, food safety and quality control.
As a consultant, she specializes in the developing, implementing, maintaining and evaluating Health and Safety Management Systems. Her expertise knowledge helps her to be involved in formulating health and safety policy, profiling and assessing risk, measuring performance and taking actions on lessons learnt.
She has an academic Degree of Master with a Major in Social Sciences. She has participated in many international seminars and fellowship programs, including Food Safety for Managers by Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, Austrian Study for Peace and Conflict Resolution by Diplomatic Academy of Vienna and Project & Programme Management and Administration (PPMA) course by MDF Training & Consultancy, the Netherlands.
Her Translator qualification (Bachelor’s Degree) and experience in delivering training to all levels enable her to translate and subsequently deliver various courses of health and safety (Health and Safety for Managers, LOTO, Fire Safety, Safety Inspection and Audit, Working Safely with Chemicals and etc.) in English as well Georgian.

Health and Safety Lead

Lasha Lapachi

a dedicated, experienced Health and Safety Expert with management, supervision and mentoring skills and proven track record of success in the global Renewables and Oil & Gas market along with major construction, production and operation projects with the global organisation (BP, USAID, World Bank. Over 15 years of experience). Holding a significant level of experience and qualification in health and safety management systems efficient implementation, monitoring and measurement, ensuring compliance with legal, internal and international requirements.
Participated in setting company HS Policy and arrangements for the implementation of HS management systems such as standard operational procedures, risk assessments, incident ill-health data analysis and incident investigations, emergency planning and procedures. Designing and delivering training courses in HS and producing reports.
Proven skills and ability to assess risks of multiple nature and level of disruption and provision of proportionate and sensible control measures.
Certified in Internal auditing on OHSAS 18001 and technical member of IOSH.
Holding NEBOSH International Diploma and NEBOSH International General Certificate.
